JUST DANCE... It's Gonna Be Okay....

another day.... GONE~!!!!

Today morning after breakfast and all, sis asked me to help her to upgrade her notebook OS from XP to Vista. And so i did. Actually reformatting pc isn't a difficult work it's just time consuming and requires a lot of WAITING. GAWDs how i hate to wait. However, if you manage your pc right, time using for reformatting your pc can be reduced drastically.

This is exactly what i did to my sis's pc when i helped her reformat her pc. I made 2 partition on her hard disk, one 20GB and the other 80GB. I use the 20GB partition as the primary drive where the OS is installed in while the 80GB as a secondary backup drive. This means Vista goes into the 20GB drive while the 80GB remains empty. 'WHY THE HELL LEAVE THE 80GB EMPTY? ARE YOU SOME KIND OF RETARD FROM MARS?' you might ask, here's why but first i would like to ask you some question. "why would you want to reformat you pc?" many would reply because their pc is screwed by viruses and spywares while others might want to change OS. Here's another question, what would happen when you reformat your pc? "Ain't it obvious enough you idiot? files, data, programs gone! lost! no more!" yeah of course and how to prevent it from happening but at the same time you want to save your pc from virus attacks or changing OS on your pc? The answer is to install all your files your data programs on a different drive on your pc. While viruses and spy ware usually attacks the primary drive where the OS in on, files on another drive will not be affected. That is why we are leaving the 80Gb drive empty for now. Usually OS uses not more than 20GB of disk space so 20GB for the primary drive is more than enough. The 80GB drive is use for installing program files and keeping data and files. So, whenever virus attacks your pc and your system is screwed up and you need to reformat you don't' have to think twice. just reformat your OS drive and reinstall it, files on your 80GB drive will not be deleted and will still remain where they were. This method also saves you from anti virus programs which most of them screws up pc performance and slows the pc down. whenever you feel your pc is attacked by virus just reformat without worrying about lost of files. The only bad thing about this method is every time you install programs you'll have to change the directory to your secondary drive. But this problem can be easily solved when you get used to this method. Another thing is some programs will not work after reformatting the system because the registry file is usually on the primary drive. So it's always a good idea to keep a folder of installers of programs that you might need after your next reformat. If you do it right and maintain it properly, reformatting and reinstalling everything on your pc the next time will take up only about half and hour or so.

After reinstalling everything for her, i copied some songs from my pc to hers and left the rest to her. If she is able to maintain it well, frequent reformatting will not be a problem unless the problem lies within activating vista too many times. Well, i don't know but maybe dell can do something about it. After helping her out i began to help myself. I have a problem which is lack of space on my study table. One half is filled with piles of books while the other half is my notebook, so there's no place for me to study. So, i went up to attic and korek out a shelf and brought it down to my room and arranged my piles of books on one half of my table onto it, while i moved the notebook to one half of the table. Now i have half a table to study which is quite sufficient for me xD.

In the afternoon, beh nmy and choong came to study. As usual we talked more than we study however today was better at least something went in not like usual where we talked and nothing went in when studied.After and hour and half, they went to have laksa and then went to Infinity and then terus to tuition. I didn't followed and continued study and blogged till 6pm before i went to tuition. Fortunately there no jam today since it's still raya holidays for school students.

After tuition, i came back and blogged till now and next what i will do is ....... STUDY~!!
